You Are Not Stuck — You Are Unclear

The distinction that changes everything about how you move forward.

"Stuck" implies a fixed state. A wall. An immovable obstacle. When people say they feel stuck in their careers, they often mean it in precisely this way — as if something external has placed a ceiling above them that cannot be moved.

But in almost every case I have encountered, what looks like being stuck is actually something else entirely: being unclear.

Unclear about what you actually want. Unclear about what your skills are worth in the current market. Unclear about how others perceive you professionally. Unclear about which direction to move, so no direction is taken.

This distinction matters profoundly because stuck and unclear have entirely different solutions. Stuck requires breaking through. Unclear requires understanding. And understanding, unlike breaking through, is fully within your reach.

When you gain clarity on your actual value — the specific combination of skills, experience, and judgment that you bring — the landscape changes. Options that were invisible become apparent. Conversations that felt impossible become natural. Steps that seemed unavailable reveal themselves.

You are not stuck. You simply have not yet seen clearly enough to move. That clarity is available to you. And it often arrives faster than you expect when you are guided toward it with intention and precision.
